product safety
as with all products for small children, safety is a primary concern and adult supervision is recommended.
during the first nine months of a baby's life, the instinct to suck is at its most prevalent (particularly iwth breast fed babies), and it is never advisable to allow a child of that age to suck on anything other than its milk source. We follow the rule of thumb and common sense and suggest that no child is ever left unattended with bedding of any form.
when small children begin to crawl, they pick up fibres and detritus from carpets and floors and automatically put it in their mouths. When a child is teething, their instinct is to rub their gums against something which gives friction - a jumper sleeve perhaps - and being made of one fibre or another, the child will of course take in fibres. The same applies to Tink product and indeed to anything in a child's surroundings.
Tink's felted lambswool products have undergone rigorous and thorough testing by Bureau Veritas, an authority in the world of product risk and assessment, and their conclusion is that in their opinion "...that these products do not pose a significant hazard with regard to the physical properties."
